Shamblin Sexton - Cosmicana - 2014

Cosmicana was a mix I recorded about a year after starting Whiskey Preachin, initially a DJ night a our local whiskey bar in Brighton. This mix was an attempt to capture the vibe we were aiming for at the start of our Whiskey Preachin nights back then, the same vibe we look forward to enjoying at the start of the next Whiskey Preachin night, once the restrictions of 2020 are a thing of the past.

Shamblin Sexton - Leanin On My Dream - 2014

Leanin On My Dream was a mix I made about a year after Whiskey Preachin started out as a DJ night at our local whiskey bar. The night started as a righteous mix of Southern-fried sounds, with equal weight given over to cosmic country, swampy blues, southern soul, and what we liked to describe as gumbo rock and truck stop pop. There are two mixes that I made around this time that have survived, Leanin On My Dream and Cosmicana, which you can also find here. I still love the music on both of them, I hope you do, too.
